Prior to gaining 8 years experience as a Certified Case Manager, Bill Eaton's extensive medical career spanned the full spectrum of nursing and management experience. His specialty nursing and case management portfolio includes stints in the areas of open heart surgery, trauma, and neurology ICU, brain injury and spinal cord injury units, and multiple management positions in Home Health Nursing, Patient Care Coordination, and Wound Care Branch Administration.
A Registered Nurse since 1989, Eaton became one of the first case managers at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, GA in 1995. He moved to Asheville, NC in 1997 to work in the ICU at Memorial Mission Hospital before becoming a case manager at Thoms Rehabilitation Hospital. He entered the private sector in 2005 as a Certified Case Manager before creating Southeastern Medical Case Management in 2007. Eaton is a Service Disabled Veteran, having served in the United States Army from 1973 to 1979. In addition to being a RN and Certified Case Manager, he holds certifications as a Certified Nurse Life Care Planner, Legal Nurse Consultant, and Medicare Set Aside Allocator.

Donna Eaton is Vice President of Southeastern Medical Case Management. She has 26 years of nursing experience working in ICU, pre-op and post-operative care, and home health. Moving to Asheville with her husband, Donna joined Mission Memorial Hospital in the Cardiology Step-down Unit in 1997, where she became certified as a Legal Nurse Consultant in 1999. In September of 2007 she joined Bill starting Southeastern Medical Case Management, specializing in Case Management Set Aside Allocation.
Practice Manager
Natalie Byard, a Tennessee native, is a graduate of Mars Hill College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management and Organizational Ecology. She has experience working with various types of business, including smaller, locally owned businesses, as well and as larger corporations. Some of her qualifications include supervisory tasks such as hiring, termination, scheduling, and training, as well as other administrative tasks and directorial responsibilities.

Debbie Guzik is a RN and Certified Case Manager. She is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts. Debbie has 28 years experience working with orthopedic, spinal cord, and brain injured clients. She has also worked in the rehabilitation arena, acute care and homecare setting. Debbie lives in Waynesville, North Carolina with her two daughters.

Beth Stephenson has worked with SEMCM since March 2009. She is a Medical Case Manager, covering Raleigh and areas east. Beth earned her BSN from Atlantic Christian College (now Barton College) in 1985. For 21 years, she has worked primarily in rehabilitation as a clinical liaison. Beth has extensive marketing and some risk management experience. She lives with her wonderful husband, mom, and their 17 # cat.

Lisa Thompson is a graduate of UNC-Asheville with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, and an MBA with an emphasis in Accounting and Finance from Regis University. She has over 25 years of experience in Accounting working with both small and large companies. Her technical expertise includes payroll taxes, sales and use tax, inventory control, financial reporting and cost accounting.
